Anthy's voice is a difficult one to write, I think because she's left so passive for so much of the show, despite what she might be thinking, feeling, or doing behind the scenes. We're given so little of her for a main character, but you're right that she has her own depth and motives.
I like the explanations you've given for her on why she did what she did, and why she's changing her mind now. Maybe the fact it hits close to home for you is why.
